Caring for someone with dementia poses many challenges for professional caregivers. Dementia caregiving is a world where the “normal” rules don’t apply and we all need guidance learning to support, motivate, and keep people with dementia safe. Providing specialist dementia training for caregivers makes a huge difference in many ways.

This Seminar:

  • Aims to help caregivers understand how dementia affects each person as they progress through the disease stages

  • Identifies the intense challenges families and those close to them must adapt to

  • Includes repetitive reinforcement of proper techniques to use while interacting with dementia patients

  • Reviews examples of scenarios with patients who have challenging behaviors, wandering, etc. and gives techniques to utilize in these situations

  • Provides a firm knowledge base for a successful person-centered approach in dementia care

Training Includes:

  • Diagnosis

  • Prognosis
