Over 49% of nursing homes have residents currently living with this progressive and fatal disease. Alzheimer's impairs memory, cognition, and behavior to the extent that it disrupts daily living, health, work, long-held hobbies, and social engagement. Formed 2008, The Cheering for Charity Foundation is committed to serve individuals with Alzheimer's and other forms of dementias and their caregivers in the tri-state area. From 2008-2025, we have conducted programs to over 25 different nursing homes and touched the lives of over 30,000.
Our mission is to enhance the quality of life for nursing home residents and
their families impacted by Alzheimer's and other dementia's.
The Executive Committee and Medical Advisory Committee are composed of seasoned professionals with expertise in Alzheimer’s care, program development, and organizational management. These dedicated individuals have been integral to the foundation since its inception, providing guidance and leadership from the very beginning.
